About Asian Paints SmartCare Repair Polymer
Repair Polymer is an SBR-based (styrene-butadiene rubber) bonding and waterproofing polymer from Asian Paints SmartCare. It's mixed with cement and mortar for repair work.
Adding a bonding polymer helps new repair mortar stick to old concrete and reduces cracking and shrinkage as it cures. That makes repairs to slabs, steps, plaster and small terraces last longer.
In Dehradun, where monsoon water finds every crack, it's a common first step before applying a waterproof coating.

How to apply
Clean the area and remove loose concrete. Mix the polymer with cement or mortar as directed on the pack. Apply a bonding slurry to the old surface, then the repair mortar while the slurry is still tacky, and keep it moist while it cures.
